Dr. Lorie Johnson-Osho is a dedicated higher education professional committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic settings. Currently serving as the Director of Faculty Diversity and Development at the University of Pittsburgh's Office of the Provost, she brings a wealth of experience in creating strategic initiatives that foster inclusive environments for students, faculty, and staff.
Her academic journey began at Duquesne University, where she earned her BA in journalism and communication and an MA in counseling education. Dr. Johnson-Osho further advanced her expertise by completing her EdD in Educational Administration from Roosevelt University, establishing a strong academic foundation for her professional work.
Throughout her career, Dr. Johnson-Osho has held diverse roles that underscore her commitment to institutional diversity and student support. She previously served as an Assistant Professor in the education department at Grove City College and Director of Multicultural Recruiting and Engagement. At the University of Pittsburgh, she also gained experience as the Assistant Dean of Graduate Student Programs in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences.
Currently, Dr. Johnson-Osho is passionate about developing a professional and leadership program specifically designed to support African American Women Administrators, reflecting her ongoing commitment to creating pathways for underrepresented professionals in higher education.
